PRAYERS FOR VARIOUS OCCASIONS
Before Meals
+ Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name; your kingdom come; your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
And then:
All creatures look to you, Lord, and you give them the food they need. You open your hand and fill them with every blessing.
After Meals
Lord, we thank you for these earthly blessings and pray that you will bring us to your heavenly kingdom.
Or:
Glory to you, the Lord, the Holy One, the King; you have given us our food in joy. Fill us with your Holy Spirit; may we be pleasing to you at all times.
The Jesus Prayer
+ Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.
